“Come and enjoy the vast and truly spectacular Sonoran Desert in one of the most unique, off-road opportunities of a lifetime. Allow Arizona Territorial Adventures to help you experience the sights, sounds and history of a landscape that holds a beauty and mystique all its own.
Throughout the course of our tour, we’ll take you off the beaten path in an open-air Jeep to witness the desert in a completely new way. You will hear how different Native American nations survived. The ways in which plants and animals were used in a very harsh environment. How the early U.S. Calvary established its presence in the Southwestern region of our country.
Grab your camera and join us for a great time that’s equal parts entertainment and education. We like to think of ourselves as historical (and sometimes, even hilarious) guides who specialize in keeping our guests on the edge of their seats with tales – some true and some tall — of the Wild, Wild West.
The tour consists of some walking, so please make sure to wear closed-toe shoes. Also, don’t forget to bring a hat and an adventurous spirit. Arizona Territorial Adventures provides water and soda – along with a great time.”
Leave the Doubletree Resort Lobby at 7:45am sharp!
You will be dropped off at the Doubletree following the Tour at aprox. 11:30am.
Book it now, $93 / person
What people are saying:
We walked into our hotel lobby and were immediately greeted by a guy in full 19th century garb complete with dual side arms and knife. The remainder of the trip only got better. The owner and guide Walker kept us aware of interesting sights as we drove to the off road trail head. Enough facts and history but not over the top non stop rambling that can be the case with some tours. He was friendly, knowledgable and easy to work with.

After seeing Walker on Good Morning Arizona, we immediately that his desert tour was the only tour to take. We spent a wonderful morning in the stunning Sonoran Desert, learning so much about the rich and varied history and culture, and nature of Arizona. If we could sum up Walker in a few words, they would be fun, friendly, knowledgeable, and most of all, entertaining. A “must-do” tour if you’re in the Phoenix area.

My wife and I were treated to an afternoon on an Arizona Territorial Adventures Jeep, driven by Walker Remington. I must confess, I wasn’t really looking forward to bouncing over the desert all afternoon, but was I ever surprised. It turned out to be the most enjoyable experience I’ve had in a long time! Walker is not only knowledgeable of desert life and habitat, he is an Arizona historian, keeping us interested and entertained for 3 hours. I would highly recommend his services for anyone who loves the desert and/or history. Walker tells his story with warmth and humor, holding one’s attention. The time flew by. Thanks, Walker! We wish you the best and we’ll be back!

Amazing tour! Not only was I able to get a call back on Christmas Day to schedule, I was able to go out on the Jeep tour the very next day. The Jeep tour was great, saw beautiful scenery, but…. the best part was how knowledgable are guide was. I learned so much about Native American history, cactus, and Arizona… I honestly think if I ever have these topics in Jeopardy, I would win! I highly recommend this tour, plus he dresses the part!

I have ridden with Walker three times on jeep tours, and remember all of those days very clearly; it’s almost like a series of snapshots for me. I remember puffy white clouds and proud saguaros and beautiful mountains and the giddy feeling of freedom from my normal day of people, appointments, phone calls, car horns, blaring TV’s, and… well, people. It’s rather magical to be away from all that, and it takes so little time, really, to get there. It’s just over that next ridge, in a jeep, with Walker.
